Dorsetshire Artists Websites Image Resizing Service (Free!)
This is used to generate the three smaller images required, starting from the largest one. 4 images of each work are required for your site, they are as follows:
  • the largest is typically 400 pixels in its maximum dimension, and is used for the popup image when the reader wants to see an image in more detail.
  • the second is 200 pixels high, used on the web pages.
  • the third is a 60-pixel-high thumbnail, used in the admin system.
  • the fourth is a 30-pixel-high thumbnail, used in the admin system.
Note also that the thumbnails can also be used in other shopping systems (yet to be announced).
Instructions:
Using the 'Choose' or 'Browse' button (depending on your browser), select an image file from your computer's filesystem for which you would like to create the image set. This image will normally be the image appearing as a popup for that work of art, since that is the largest one.

Resizing is only used to reduce the size.

Then press the 'upload image' button to send your file to the dorsetshire.net web server.

Please watch the progress of your file upload at the bottom of your browser window. The larger the file or the slower your internet connection, the longer it takes.
Don't use files larger than 300 kbytes as they will be far too large for a web page and this system has been told to reject them anyway.
